Chez Gita, a European style tea salon, is located in Zion Square in the heart of Jerusalem off of historic Jaffa Road. It is an intimate café offering freshly brewed tea, a superb variety of coffees and hot chocolate. Chez Gita offers a selection of cakes, pastries and breads utilizing only those products of the highest quality. In addition to the hot drinks and baked goods, Chez Gita offers a full range of dairy food including fish, pasta, quiches, salads and soups.
The atmosphere in Chez Gita is unique. The style is reminiscent of a Parisian Salon de Thé with dark wooden furniture, comfortable leather chairs and subdued lighting. Fresh flowers adorn each table. Classical music is played throughout the day providing a sense of calm and serenity, a welcome relief from the busy Jerusalem streets.
During the warm weather, Chez Gita opens its courtyard and gardens for additional seating. The garden's delicately scented flowers are delight for the senses.
At night, the mood changes somewhat as the lights are lowered. The classical music changes to a range of soft Jazz, Bossa Nova, Samba, Flamenco and Fado. It is a perfect setting for a romantic evening or celebration or simply, a delightful way to end the day.
Chez Gita is located at 5 Havatzelet Street in Jerusalem in Zion Square (Kikar Tzion) off of Jaffa Road.
