The Tax Museum was opened in 1964 and holds a large collection of documents regarding taxation in the ancient world, in Jewish Communities of the Diaspora, and in the State of Israel including the pre-state period. The museum contains information regarding: centralization of tax collection; prevention of smuggling and importation of illegal; international relations in the field of taxation; taxation in various countries.
