The tomb of the visionary of the Jewish state in on the mount as well as those of other important people, among them Golda Meir, Levi Eshkol and Zeev Jabotinsky. Near the entrance gate is the Herzl Museum, a memorial of the man?s deeds who in his short life (he died in1904 at the age of 44) made the first steps in creating a National Home for the Jewish people. This is also the site of the Military Cemetary.
